Newark NJ filers
I married to USC on 4/1/2019, filed GC through lawyer. Below is timeline:
- File received by USCIS: 4/18
- Receipt Received: 4/26
- Bio-metrics Notice Received: 5/3 for 5/16 appointment. However i am travelling to Canada that day, so did Walk-in on 5/6
at 2:30 pm. They made me talk to ASC Manager, and showed evidence of my trip to Canada, and she let me do my biometrics
on 5/6. Process took 45 min total. You can carry phones but must be turned-off.
- Courtesy Notice - Form I-693 Medical. I did not submit my medical as part of package.
- Status Changed: Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview on 5/16/2019

I never expected that process would move that fast. Within 28 days of PD, it's ready for interview. Now only problem is i dont know when i will have my interview, so i dont know when should i schedule my Medical because medical is only valid for 60 days after it was sealed by doctor. Also, i can't send the medical through email, now it has to be during interview. I have heard that in some cases people recieve their interview notice couple days before the interview, if that happen, it will be problem, because it takes couple of days to complete medical.

SO NEWARK FILERS, has that happened to you? can you please advice when should i schedule medical?

thanks
