10yr GC Finally on hand/ Dallas, Texas Filer
Hello guys, it feels surreal that now I can share my success story. USPS lost my GC by delivering it to the wrong address and I was able to get it back within 24 hours with the help of my local PO manager. Frustrating! I know, but super excited now.

Here's a quick overview of my timeline: If you want more in dept info pls check my profile. I have everything including my interview experience.

PD February 2018
Interview: April 29th, 2019 (Did not go with my lawyer, just Hubby and I)
New card in Production: May 08, 2019
Card on hand: May 17th, 2019

Things I wish I knew about this process (helpful?)

-If you have an uncomplicated case, pls save your money and do it yourself. Basically what my Lawyer did was take care of the intial package. After that, my husband and I were on our own. Just a negative experience overall with them even with all the money paid.

-Before going to the interview, make sure you have all documents, or bills that dates back to the time you got married and better still before. Looks like most Field offices don't get to see the previously submitted evidence to show bona fide marriage. So to have a better success story, take everything.

-Don't be nervous. The IO is a human being like you and I. Nervousness will make people try to intimidate you.

-Finally, if you think this whole experience is stressful, I say wait between the time of interview and approval. That suspense alone is the devil himself.

Thank-you to those who gave encouraging words! It gave me hope and belief that everything will work itself out. Hopefully, everything works out for everyone here and before you know it, this chapter of your life is over with.

Any questions, feel free to ask!
