Interview experience:
We arrived earlier from our appointment time. Security check was quick even though we have couple of stuff like stroller and diaper bag (Yes we brought our 10m/o daughter, as we don’t have anyone to babysit her on a Monday). We checked in and called like after 15mins by a very nice IO. We apologized for bringing the baby. And she responded “I love babies”, from that moment I loosen up and felt calm. Our daughter was not fussy but very so loud, she was laughing and bubbling “Mamamamama” that I was worried about earlier because it might irritate the IO. But thank God, everything was just in place, she went thru the yes/no stuff and ask some questions like we were just talking over a coffee:
-My name/DOB (to husband)
-Husband’s name/DOB (to me)
-Where do we live.
-How did we meet.
-Why did we decide to get married.
-Where does my husband work.
-Are we planning to have more kids.

I can’t remember all but it was all basic questions about family that a marriage in good faith can answer. She looked at our photo album and baby book, which she was so adored. Ask us if we can give documents that shows both names like joint taxes, health insurance, birth cert of our daughter. I offered her more but she said that’s fine(I brought a tabbed binder of all evidences we have, I organized everything and made sure all important document has a copy)

It took about 20-25 minutes and she told us that everything looks good, and if we had any questions, so I asked her about my expired EAD and what should I tell my employer. She said I will approve this today, and run some bgchecks for both of you and maybe by tomorrow you can see it online then print it to show your employer. And that’s it.

Hope this helps. Have faith because God is really good.
