Calgary visa interview May 15, 2019
I had interview on May 15, 2019. Experience similar to what others have posted recently. VO said visa approved. However status is stuck in admin processing since interview date. VO did not take I797 but took passport which is unusual - normally they take both so I am not sure why he did that. Anyone else have same situation with I-797 in the past or currently?
VO said to expect passport in 5-10 business days but I see many others got it in 3-4 days (experiences from Feb/March). Today is 4th business day as May 20th was holiday in Canada. I did not think about this during my booking. Please make sure you avoid Canadian holidays as well as US holidays when booking your appointment for visa interview. Next Monday is Memorial day so Embassy will be closed again. I am hoping they do not delay into next week as I had a full work schedule planned.
Is there anybody else on the forum who had interview between May 13 to 17 at Calgary and still waiting for passport?
