Green Card Approved on the Spot - Minneapolis, MN office
Hello everyone!
I thank god and everyone here who helped me through my AOS journey. I'm glad to share my GC experience:
-- P.D: April 02, 2018
-- Interview date: May 14th, 2019
Our interview was scheduled at 10:15 am we checked in at 9:30 am with our lawyer waited for 45 minutes, then the officer called our number he greeted us and told me are you the beneficiary? I said yes. Then he told me to wait outside! and in my mind I said thank god he separated us because our marriage is real and we live with each others and also we didn't bring a joint bank statements with us so that will make it easier.
So after 15 minutes interviewing my wife, the office called me in by myself and made my wife wait outside. He asked me the regular question my name. DOB my wife's name her date of birth, where we live...etc.
Then he asked me:
when is the trash day?
who sleeps on the left and who sleeps by the window?
who woke up first this morning?
what did I do before I went to sleep?
how much my wife makes?
when her days off?
What's your in-laws names and if I met them?
After that he asked me to pick pictures from the two albums we brought so he can keep. Then he told me everything looks great me and my wife had pretty much the same answers. then he told me to make sure that my name is correct when I get my green card. he gave the lawyer a white paper and we left.
30 minutes after the interview status changed "New card is being produced"
May 16th, 2019 - Card was mailed to me
May 22, 2019 - Two years Green Card in hand. YaaaaY!
Should I update my SS card after getting the green card?
