Send relationship/marriage picture with initial package? Marriage base AOS
Hello,

I recently came across this forum and I have seen how helpful and active everyone is. Reading some success stories is really encouraging. I hope you guys can help me with a question I have. I am a visa overstay from 2008, could not get into DACA by only 2 months and I got married last year to my wife (US Citizen) in July 2018, We met January 2017 and then attended college together for our masters. I proposed 3 months before our weeding. I recently got a lawyer to assist me with the case to file my i485, i130 and other pertinent forms. After talking with my lawyer about the process, he seemed very knowledgeable and helpful, specially with the clients he handles and experiences in court. Though, she advice to me something a little bit confusing. The lawyer just wants to submit the form and the very little financial documents I have (since I have never had a social security number or work permit), thus, disregarding the rent/lease affidavit and, most importantly, my relationship and wedding pictures). These are all the documents I have for bona fide marriage:
- Marriage Certificate
- Affidavit by my landlord/roommate stating that I am renting a room with my wife in a 2 bedroom house. . (Lawyer wants to disregard for now until interview)
- Wedding invitation
- College transcripts for me and my wife, showing we live at the same address
- List of Wedding invitees
- Wedding pictures . (Lawyer wants to disregard for now until interview)
- Relationship Pictures . (Lawyer wants to disregard for now until interview)
- 4 affidavits of support from her mother and mutual friends from college from our same program that met us. (Lawyer wants to disregard for now until interview)
- Jointly filed taxes as married couple for 2018
- Proof of address that we live at our current address:
             -Amazon deliveries in both name
-Save the date for a wedding addressed to us
-Mail for her for advertisement to have her as client for a company
-Delivery from Bed Bath & Beyond
-Bank statement in the mail for her
-Driver’s license for my wife showing our current address we are renting
That is basically all we have for now. As you many of you may know, without a SSN, I am nonexistent here and cannot have many official financial documents with her. Therefore, I considered the pictures a very important part of my initial package. Also, I have heard that pictures are basically mandatory (even though not stated as such in checklist) with the initial package and the lack of it might even lead to a Denial not even a RFE. The lawyer's argument is that we would not want immigration to make pre-conclusion with a package that might look weak and have them think that this is all we got show them at the interview. The lawyer wants to send a really basic package with no picture and then, when I get my EAD and get other financial documents with my wife, then bring everything to the interview with pics.

What do you guys think? Is that a smart move? Or is he wrong? Any similar experiences?

Thank you everyone in advance! This is a great community! Have a nice long weekend
