Happily married to a USC since 2018. Been living together since 2015. Interview lasted for about an hour and my i485 was approved on the spot.
We got sworn in and the officer started checking out our paperwork against what we say in person. We were asked about our full names, birthdates, birthplace, parents full names, employment history, current and previous address, and when and where we got married.
Front loading with solid evidence definitely helped improve our case.
We submitted our joint tax returns, joint bank statements, gas/electric/cable/internet/phone bills, health/life/car/homeowners insurance and rental agreement with both our names and same address on it.
Officer asked us about how we met, our first date, our engagement, wedding, honeymoon and our pets.
Photos also really helped a lot in telling our story. I think it showed how much we cherish each other, and all of our closest friends and families.
I hope this will help those who are waiting and preparing for their interviews, as much as this forum helped me!
