Interview Experience:

Interview was schedule for 12:10pm. We arrived there by 11:30 and waited for 45 minutes. We were called by officer (white male around late 30s). He took our oath, and asked for my passport and drivers license and my wife's drivers license. Then he made us sign the lawyer waiver form as our lawyer was not there. Then he asked our names, and was super confused how my wife had changed her last name. He said you should have gone to court to change her name, but since she had already had her social security card and passport updated, he said it's fine.

Then he asked how we got here. We were a bit confused, but my wife answered we drove. He spoke about Atlanta traffic and asked where we were coming from and then told us about the interview process. Then he asked how we met, when we met in person, did my wife know where I lived (Michigan) when we first met in person and what did we do. We asked us where and which bar and where it was. Then he continued to ask when we got married, were our families on board with the decision, where did we get married, and who attended the wedding. He asked both of us multiple times when did we get married (the date). He asked me when is the last time I entered US and if I went through immigration check. He also asked me what visa (F1 Student) I entered the US on. Then he went through way too many of the yes no questions and then asked my wife about her job and if she has changed it or not, which she had changed so she told him and gave him the supporting documents. Then he asked if we want to submit any supporting documents showing bonafide marriage. We submitted our joint lease, joint bank accounts for multiple months, joint renters insurance, health insurance, life insurance, and sam's club membership. He took all of these and asked for ceremony pictures which we showed him. Then he went to make some copies, and came back in 2-3 mins. He told us that he was going to recommend us for approval by the end of the day and told us about the conditional green card procedure since we haven't been married for more than 2 years. He then asked if we had any questions, and we didn't have any questions. He then walked us out.

I received the approval notification next day, May 10th, on the USCIS account. Received the approval notice in the mail on Tuesday, May 14 and Green card on May 15.

Thanks!!!
