Applied last year for i-485.
And for EAD.
Didn't receive my EAD card yet.
But got interview date 5/29/1029.
I gave interview yesterday (05/29/2019) for marriage based green card I-485.
My wife and I are from different country. She is citizen here and came here via border. We fall in love and decided to get married. She already have kids from previous marriage but I dont have issue with children because I love them.
In interview officer ask us questions but mostly to my wife. My wife made mistake on a date when did I proposed her. But later immediately she realized and said correctly. After that officer asked him all the questions. He asked my wife: is she ever got married. She said: yes,. Then officer asked do you have divorce papers and unfortunately we forgot to bring the papers of divorce.
After that officer told us to wait and he went out to consult with his supervisor and he came back and told us to wait in waiting area and they will arrange another interview on a same day.
They arranged another interview and they called my wife first.
They asked my wife so many questions and threatens her to accept "is this marriage is fraud?" Our relation is not fraud so she tried to explain them why she love me and why we want to be together. They keep her inside for 1 hour and 10 mins. After that they called me inside and they let my wife sit behind me. So I can't see her face. They asked me similar questions like where do we do our laundry. Where is the laundry bag, etc.
My wife was so stressful while interview and she made a mistake on "who propose to whom and how?"
She said my husband proposed me in restaurant with a ring.
But in real life I proposed her but at my store with rose. I gave her ring but on wedding day.
After that they told me to go out in waiting area and they again asked my wife few questions and after that they told her to go out in waiting area and they called me inside. They asked my about her parents and where they live. After few questions officer told me go out and me and my wife can leave.
They didn't gave us any information what they will gonna do next and what to expect in future. They even didn't gave us any paper to sign while living the office.
I have no idea what to expect now. Are they satisfied with us or they will gonna make another inquiry.
Please help me if you have information or this kind of experience you experienced. It will be great help.
