Divorce before filing
Good afternoon,
I have a basic question and I would appreciate some enlightenment to my predicament. Me and my husband have decided to split up. He is a US citizen and I’m a visa overstay undocumented. Do I run any risk filing for divorce in terms of entering into a deportation phase or other risk? We never filed anything for AOS and I have no criminal record or deportation case.
I am in Florida. Thank you for any input. Already the idea of losing this man who I thought was different has been a burden.
