N400 Dallas, TX with Name Change
Hello There,

First of all I wanna thank everyone in this forum that had helped me during the long wait process while waiting for my citizenship and now it's my turn to share my experience with everyone.

Filing Date for Dallas,TX 7/17/2017
Reception Date: 7/19/2017
Fingerprints Appointment: 8/15/2017
LONG WAIT UNTIL INTERVIEW
Interview scheduled: 1/28/2019
Interview Date: 3/04/2019
The IO was very nice and friendly. The questions were pretty easy:
What is the supreme law of the land?
Name three States on the Canada Border?
Name One right that U.S Citizens have?
When Should all men register for services?
Name one of the two longest rivers in the U.S?
How many senators are in the house?
The IO asked me about my name change and asked to go get an additional passport size pic from CVS if i wanted to change my name, after I got it she said I may receive a letter for the oath within 2 to 4 weeks because even though the receipt says that we can't make a decision I have passed the test. But because I had a name change, It took way longer.
My online status was finally updates on 06/04/19 where it said : we've sent you a letter with your oath date, and time...etc.
06/7/2019 I just received the letter for the oath ceremony which will take place in Dallas Municipal court District on 7/19/2019.

Yay I'm so happy! it was a long wait but I'm just glad it's finally happening soon. The whole process took exactly 23 months. Dallas is probably the longest wait time in the whole U.S. but Hang in there!
Don't lose hope! and good luck everyone!
