Vancouver h1b stamping successful on 6/7
Wanted to share my experience of h1b stamping in Vancouver today morning at 730 am.

I have an upcoming trip to India in last week of June and I wanted to travel hassle free. So I chose less risky approach to get the visa stamped.

I got the appointment today at 730 am.

After going through the usual procedures - checking of mandatory documents, security check, fingerprinting I was asked to go on 20th floor for the visa interview.

The visa officer asked me few questions:

1, who is your client and employer
2. Which company did you have your last stamping with ?
3. Worked in US before ?
4. Job title ?
5. Studied in US? What was highest degree?

Then he said visa approved and would get it next week. Got the green paper and booklet about the rights.

I had changed my ds160 to include my i140 approval details. Got the old one replaced with the new one.

Checked the status this evening : it says AP. Expecting it to change Monday morning and some time later day hoping to get the shipment notice.

I have my flight to us scheduled on Tuesday evening, hopefully I am able to get the passport by then.

Good luck to all those who have their visa appointments coming up.
