Expired J1 visa/AP CARD
I came to the US on F1 Visa and later changed to a J1 visa. I got married April 2018 to a US citizen, my J1 expired June 2018. I'm not subject to the two years stay rule, but after one month my visa expired I was supposed to to leave the U.S. I never left and applied for adjustment in status in September 2018. I received my combo card in April 2019, but my I485 is still pending interview.

I wish to travel to my homeland "Bahamas" to visit family and friends, but I'm afraid US boarder agent my deny me re-entry because I over stayed my J1 visa two months before applying for changed in status?

Anyone had a similar case?

Please advise accordingly.
