Hi!
Long time lurker, first time poster. I thought I'd share my experience since I can't seem to fall asleep.
My husband and I filed our documents back in September 2018, and we just finished our interview on Friday. The interviewer asked my husband and I maybe 3 questions regarding our marriage (Each others birthdays, Marriage date, names of parents) and the rest of his questions were regarding yes/no questions at the back of the i-485 form.
He barely looked through the documents I brought as evidence (I had a LOT - I even included a table of contents to organize it) and said that he didn't need all of this. He asked me to pick out 4 photos I like the best from our album and took those.
We made some small talk and then he took my husband's DL and my passport and said he needed to make copies. We went back outside to the waiting area and he came back in about 5 minutes with our IDs and the photos and an approval notice. He also told me that since I was married to my husband for over 2 years (we have been married for almost 4 years) that I will qualify for a permanent resident card and not the temporary one so we will not have to come back in 2 years for another interview.
The entire thing took all of 20 minutes and I'm super grateful!
