Waiting for the biometrics apt
My wife and I live in San Jose, but our case is processed by National Benefits Center. In fact, USCIS customer service rep told me that I485 will be processed in California Service Center and the rest in NBC.
Is this normal for everyone? Since the estimated wait time on USCIS website is pretty long for them. I don't understand how they decide where it will go. Does the place you file from affect how long the wait for the combo card (EAD/AP) will be?
