Hello all,
I’ll be initiating this process for my wife in the coming weeks and I just wanted to be sure of the application phase details. Specifically, when we submit I-485 along with the other relevant documents and they are approved for the next step (which I believe is biometrics), is there some sort of official acknowledgment (like a passport stamp or document) that my spouse has entered the adjustment of status phase? She’s due to finish her program here in about 4 months and I just want to make sure she is legally allowed to be here throughout the entire process (which obviously will take than the 4 months she has left in her program). Forgive me for my ignorance; this is totally new to me and I’m just trying understand everything!
