Hi everyone,
First I want to thank everyone for sharing their experiences.
I have been a silent reader for the passed few months and this forum helped me
So much, so I wanted to share with you my experiences.
Im in the U.S for a total of 15 years, I had a student visa that expired in 2012,
I over stayed my visa.
In January 2019 I married my amazing, beautiful wife, after we dated for 4 and a half years.
In the end of February we submitted our application for me to adjust status l, we filed concurrently (i130,i130A,i485,i693,i864,i765,i131). Our package was received on Feb 26 2019
March 6th I received 4 i797 NOA
March 7th received biometrics appointment letter(for March 18).
March 18 biometrics done.
March 21st “interview is ready to be scheduled”
May 3rd interview was scheduled for the end of June.
We had our interview in Holtsville Long Island NY
We went in a half hour before our interview time, we were called in on our appointment time, we had a very nice young man he was very gentle( I guess he didn’t suspect anything wrong).
He swore us as soon as we got to the room and started the interview by introducing himself, he told me that he is going to ask my wife a few questions and if he needs anything from me he will ask me.
He asked my wife what’s her name and date of birth and where was she born.
Then he asked me what’s my name and date of birth and where was I born.
He then went straight a head with the application questions (have you ever been arrested? Did you ever smuggle people to the U.S....) and right after he said ok your green card is approved and you should receive it in about 2 weeks:)))))) yayyyy.
I went home and I checked my status on myuscis account and it said “interview completed and my case must be reviewed” the next morning it changed to “new card is being produced” and the next day it changed on both i130 and i485 “Case Was Approved”. It’s been 6 days since the interview I’m waiting very excited to get my new card in the mail I hope it will show up in the next day or two. Thank you so much everyone for all your help and I hope that my experience helps you relax and be patient!!! Cause you need a lot of that!! For me it was exactly 4 months to the day from filing to the interview. I never got EAD card or AP. Interview was scheduled before they was even processed.
