Adjustment of Status - I-485

Hi ,Baltimore and September fillers.my interview April 24th 2019.it went well.was given 120days papers .8th of last month received RFE saying before we could make a finally decision in your case show that my previous marriage legally ended which i send the next day.still now no update on any 130,485.still on interview was schedule and case received,filed together with my work permit but it was rejected because it improperly filed.my lawyer didn't add my address to the ead form .so I have to refile in 1st March 19.till date nothing.any body in same booth with me .I call the USCIS the lady on the line not too nice telling me it they still on 2017.is that the background check. I don't know and don't understand.any input or advice please share.much appreciated .what is really going on?
