expensive lawyer, RFE, i-485
Hello, All.
Probably some of you have experienced a similar problem, please share your thoughts.
Paid my lawyer almost $7,000 for my i-485 case.She is a great layer, helped many friends of mine, except me...
On 6.11.19 we had an interview with USCIS (marriage based), our lawyer was there with us. Right after interview she left us saying that she had another couple and added that we made our officer to be comfortable with us and the interview was good she thought, she left. So the same day I got updated online with "RFE was sent" and I called the office. They transferred me to my lawyer's assistant and this assistant has become the only person I can talk..
Maybe I am pushy but my work authorization is about to expire I can loose my job. From assistant I found out that my lawyer (in person) submitted our additional evidence. I have been waiting a month, there is no respond, no update that they received my responce to RFE. If I send the papers my self, I would insure that I have a receipt of delivery, but now I don't even know if the office got my papers, or papers got lost. I don't trust my lawyer. Even thought I asked her assistant to let my lawyer know that I need to talk to her, to get more info on our in interview, on this RFE process, why are they delaying it, etc. As for now, the only source of information for me is google.
Do I panic a lot? Should I leave my lawyer alone and not to bother her assistant? Should I write USCIS a letter asking a for a receipt conformation? Is this situation normal?
