San Fran i-485 filer desperately awaiting EAD/AP
Hello all,

Sharing my experience in the hopes to get some more clarity on my case:

My background: I am a foreign national from Germany in the US on F1 OPT who got married to a US citizen and going through the adjustment of status process.

My Timeline:

3/25/19 - Submitted everything (i-485, i-765, i-131, i-130)
3/29/19 - Got receipt notices for everything submitted, all issued from National Benefits Center in Missouri
4/05/19 - Biometrics notice
4/24/19 - Biometrics attended in San Fran
6/14/19 - Request for Initial Evidence on form i-485 mailed to me (it was regarding i-864, my wife's 2018 tax return was below the 125% poverty mark, I was asked to find a joint sponsor)
7/08/19 - Sent all documents required from the RFIE back to National Benefits Center (I submitted tons of evidence from the joint sponsor so I would assume the response is satisfactory)
7/10/19 - USCIS updates status on i-485 saying Response to RFIE was received and they will begin working again on my case

Today is 7/15/19 and checking the case updates they are the following:
-i-485: "Response to RFIE received..."
-i-765: "Biometrics completed..."
-i-131: "Case received..."
-i-130: "Case received..."

I am desperately awaiting the interim EAD and Advance parole (combo card) because my OPT was up on 5/31/19 so I am without pay, yet stuck having to keep my same San Francisco address where I pay tons of rent. I am also really in need for the Advance parole to be able to give my parents the wedding party in my home country and my wife the honeymoon to overseas at the end of the year.

Anyway, I am trying to validate the following assumptions that I have from reading in several forums:

1. The RFIE from the National Benefits Center has cost me a delay of the amount of time that had passed between the issue date and the receiving date (in my case 26 days) but has NOT reset the clock back to 0 on my case, right?

2. Or is the delay much greater because they need extra time to review all the evidence? How much extra time should I count in the delay, if any?

3. I understand the case is at the National Benefits Center and the next thing I should expect to see is a status update saying that my case is "ready to be scheduled for an interview" and my file gets transferred to the San Francisco Field Office from which I can expect to receive my EAD/Advance Parole issued by the field office, BEFORE the interview or AFTER?

4. Who issues the EAD/AP the NBC or the SF field office?

5. I am trying to make an accurate forecast of when to have my EAD/AP on hand and given my file date of 3/25 and a 26 day delay because of the RFIE. I am looking at the processing times for i-765 and i-131 at the NBC is 6.5-8.5 months for i-765 and 6-8 months for i-131. If its on a combo card, how can the processing times be different?

6. Some others in the forum have said to reach out to local congresswoman to expedite the EAD/AP maybe with a letter from my employer that says I need to get back to work ASAP etc. what do you think of that idea?

7. Lastly who wants to make a prediction of when I will be receiving my EAD. My hope is before November... any thoughts?

Thanks for addressing any of questions 1 through 7. Any help is appreciated & good luck to all of you for your cases.
