Hi Guys,

I have been a silent reader for a few months now, so just want to thank everybody for sharing their stories.

Here is my timeline so far:

PD: February 4th 2019
Bio-Metrics Letter: February 15th 2019
Bio-metrics Done: March 7th 2019
Case is ready for Interview: July 5th 2019
Interview was scheduled: July 18th 2019
Interview Date: August 28th 2019

I filled all forms myself and submitted forms and supporting documents all myself as well. We have pretty simple case and so we didn't use a lawyer. For now it's going pretty smoothly... roughly 5.5 months with interview already scheduled. No RFE or courtesy letters ever received.

Also, no EAD, no Social Security

I have visited USA multiple time ( around 20 or so, over the last 15 yers), but mostly for business or travel. My husband and I know each other for years, since he was working for US Office of our company and I for a foreign office in Europe.
We got together several years ago when he was on a work contract in Europe and after some time we decided to move to US and then got married a year l an a half later.

Since my travels to US have always been vacation or business related, I never needed anything official in US... I never worked here, I don't have a bank account, was added to my husband phone plan... don't even have US driving license.

As delays with EAD and Social Security are so huge now, I will probably not have it by the time of our interview.
Due to lack of SS my husband can add me to basically nothing: his bank account ( bank need ITIN or SS - have neither, his taxes for last year - need SS, mortgage/lease - need SS, utility bills - only Xfinity added, health insurance - need SS, car insurance - need SS or driving licence. The only things other then phone/internet bill is his life insurance, where I am added as a primary beneficiary.

We have a very cool story as to how we got together years ago and how we got married several years later ( that we are actually looking forward to share with USCIS :) and since we traveled extensively over the course of our relationship we have hundreds of pictures taken over the last several years from basically all over the world - so we can definitely used that as a proof.

Has anybody had situation like that recently?? No EAD and no Social Security due to delays in processing times?
I honestly do not expect any issues, as like I said we did all by the book with no multiple/different visas over years, no criminal records nor any other issues and all seems to be in order for now.

However, If anyone has been in such situation, could you please share if you expedited you EAD to get SS, so you can get other documents needed for interview? I've read in official records that interviewers usually understand lack of other documents if such cases, but any first hand experience would be appreciated.

Thanks and good luck to all of you guys... patience is gold :)
