Paying It Forward
I have been a silent reader since my partner and I started my AOS journey. I am eternally grateful to all of you who shared your experiences, hopes and aspirations. Thank you!

We had our interview this morning (11:15am at Raleigh, NC) which only took less than 15 minutes. The IO was not so friendly but everything went well. He did not look at our new evidences that I painstakingly compiled and only asked the following questions:
    1. Do you live together? Where?
    2. How and where did you meet?
    3. Who proposed to who? When and where did you propose?
    4. Then he went over the yes/no questions
He ended by saying, "it looks approvable" and we should wait until the end of the week for the decision. It made me worry because it wasn't what I expected, it felt like it was too short for an interview. Nevertheless, I won't complain. Then the good news arrived at 2:30pm that my new card was requested.

With all these, I would like to share my personal journey as a form of gratitude hoping that others will be inspired also to hang-in there because there will always be rainbows after the rain.

April 23, 2019 Received all forms (I-765,I-485,I-130 etc)

June 5, 2019 Request to expedite Work Auth./EAD
June 7, 2019 Request to expedite was completed (My request was placed under
US gov. interest since I am a HS Math teacher and my school will greatly benefit from it.)
June 8, 2019 Asked help from congressman and senator to make a follow-up of my request.
June 13, 2019 Senator's office replied via email that case was approved and is now being routed for
                           expedited processing.
June 19, 2019 Ready to schedule for interview and completed review of I-485 (adjustment of status form)
June 20, 2019 Scheduled an interview for July 25, 11:15am
June 20, 2019 EAD card was ordered (this happened on the same day that we were scheduled for interview)
June 24, 2019 EAD card was mailed
June 25, 2019 EAD card was picked up by Post Office
June 27, 2019 EAD card was delivered
July 25, 2019 Interview was completed, and new card (green card) was ordered

In sum, it took 3 months and 2 days to complete the process. Grateful for everything!
