Tricky
I’m in a very Tricky situation. I married in April 2016, and filed for GC and EAD in August of 2016. I was living in New York then. I got my EAD on October 30 2016. I received letter in June 2017 scheduling my interview for August 2017. I didn’t attend because my wife and I have separated and I already filed for divorce in Minnesota. My GC application was withdrew around February 2018. During the time that my divorce was pending, I had a girlfriend. My divorce ended in August 2018. My girlfriend and I plan to marry, but in September 2018 we had physical altercations and the apartment complex that my girlfriend and I lived in called cops. I was arrested and charged with Assault and Domestic assault. I was found not guilty in May 2019, my girlfriend and I married in June and file in July.

My problem is not how to convince uscis that our marriage was in good faith because we dated two years before marriage, and we have a lot of documents that will prove that. The problem is that I divorce someone that file for me before going to interview, and marrying the same person police said I assaulted.
