My i485 was approved recently and I received my green card last week. My i765 case status says “Case Closed Benefit Received By Other Means”. I applied for a social security number on my i765 document. I would like to know, should I be expecting a social security card in the mail after I received my green card despite the status saying it was closed? If yes, how long after receiving the green card should I wait? Or do I need to go and apply for social myself?
