Adjustment of Status - I-485

Hi all,

My interview was this morning at the Mount Laurel, NJ field office and I was approved on the spot. Thank God it’s over... for now!

Everything went smoothly. The IO was so nice and pleasant. She went over our application, asked a couple questions and she kept saying “when you get the Green Card...”. At the end, she stamped “approved” on my application and said I’ll receive it within 10 days. She explained the 2 year conditional green card, the process of applying for the 10 year one, and applying for citizenship. My case hasn’t updated online or on the app as yet so I’ll wait and see what happens!

*missed 1st Biometrics appointment because the notice came the day of the appointment (maybe the Christmas holidays etc.). Called USCIS customer service 01/04/2019 to reschedule - was able to reschedule on the interview notice and send it to the address on the notice*

OPT EAD expired: 02/15/2019
*Requested to have my EAD expedited due to medical reasons through my congressman 01/23/2019. Did not receive a call back until 02/25/2019, and I had to send info that was requested - sent that 02/26/2019. Kept calling them but got no info. So I called USCIS customer service and requested to expedite my EAD 03/06/2019, got a T1B YYYY YYYY XXMSC referral number. 03/09/2019 I got an email saying my case was under review. 03/16/2019 card was produced. 03/20/2019 Card was mailed. 03/21/2019 received I-765/I-131 approved notice. 03/25/2019 received card.*
