I've been a silent reader for quite some time. I had my interview last month in Oakland park field office, Fl.
I will share my timeline and also details from my interview.
Married: May 2017
Filed: April 2018
Fingerprint: May 2018
Ead: August 2018
Notice for interview: June 2019
Interview: July 2019
My husband and I put together all our paperwork together (bank/credit card statements, lease, joint assets including vehicles, and properties, photo album etc)
I was so nervous but my husband was chill.
We were interviewed together. The interviewing office asked questions directly from the application were had submitted. He directed some questions at my husband and some at me. The only questions that waasked that wasnt from the application was, 'What is your wife's rate of pay, job title and how long has she been working at her current job?
The officer collected one of our most recent bank statement, (i offered statements fr different banks and he said one is fine)our lease, car titles and when I offered our photo album he said never mind.
He then said he will recommend our case for approval but it will go through a final review.
5 days later, I got my green card in the mail.
I just want to encourage everyone out there, trust God, be honest, be prepared and continue to pray. I'm writing this with years in my eyes because I know what we all go through while waiting and anticipating this interview. Good luck to you all.
