Interview
Hey guys!!
Had my interview recently and I just want to share a very detailed experience.
Our interview was in Oakland Park field office (FL). I waited 16 months for the interview, however I didnt mind waiting because I was hoping to pass my 2nd year anniversary before the interview.
My husband and I arrived early, signed in and waited for about 45 mins before we were called in.
We are a jovial couple so from the beginning we started cracking little jokes with our interviewing officer (IO), but of course it wasn't planned, it just happened naturally.
We were sworn in, and he explained that he needed to take my picture and go through the application we submitted.

The first thing our IO asked was how we met, and my husband explained how we met.
He then explained to us that he will start with my husband since he is the petitioner. He asked him basic questions like my parents name, my birthdate, my employment, my child's name and birthdate, where I'm from, how long we have lived at our current address and when did we get married.
He asked me my husband's parents name and occupation and surpringly he asked questions about when I applied to the US embassy in my home country.(How many times I applied for a Visa, why I was denied etc)
He asked to see our lease, bank/credit card statements and any joint assets we had. I gave him the photo copies and showed the original. He was very impressed at how organized we were, and the fact that we had acquired assets as a couple in a short time.
Things went so smoothly that he didnt remember to collect my medical so I submitted that and he said excellent.

We spent roughly about 10 - 15 mins in the interview and got approved on the spot. I was very respectful to him I answered him by saying yes/no sir and at the end we thanked him and wished him a great rest of day.

I got my 10 year card a week later.

In my opinion, it's very important that you prove that you and your spouse live together and 'tie' your finances together. You also need to show that you are, or intend to work hard to achieve this American dream. My IO liked the fact that I am a hard worker and he complimented me on that.

So best of luck to everyone waiting, it will be all worth it
