Hi All,

I’m seeking an advise regarding my situation. I submitted my AOS package to USCIS in July 15, the receipt date is July 17. On July 18, I had to immediately go back to my country for my father in law’s funeral (My husband is GC holder). Our lawyer told us that my application will be denied since I left without AP. I was able to come back to US using my F-1 visa and I attended biometrics last week.

From a different forum, I found someone with similar case who eventually got her AOS denied during the interview and she had to reapply and wait for another 8 months. I understand that each case is treated differently and there’s no guarantee whether my application will be approved or denied.

Do you think it’s best to just wait until the interview (which I don’t know when) and reapply if I got denied or should I withdraw my application and submitted a new one (since F2A is still current)?

Thank you.
