Atlanta Filer
My journey is almost over. I have been a silent reader but what i can say is God is good. I am in Atlanta and i started my application in July 30th(I 130). I came in the US as a F1 student, I graduated in 2017 and in the meantime i had my work permit . I didnt know i had to do apply for I 485 as well since i am in the US. Long story short i got married in March 2018. As i said earlier i did the application for my I 130 in July. Then it (i 130) got approved in November 2018. In December 2018, i did the application for I 485. In january i went to the biometric appointment then i got a RFE for my taxes since i work . In the meantime,my husband got deployed , and from January to May i didnt hear from uscis at all. In May 10, my case change to ready to be scheduled for an interview. In June 15, my interview was scheduled . In July 18 i went to the interview, which was weird. My IO was a veteran and my husband was just coming back from deployment. The interview was 10mins. No personal questions, no documents required except the medical one, no pictures. The officer just asked me about my address, my name. He also asked my husband where was he stationed, and where does he work. At the end of the interview he gave me a notice saying it will be under review. I was so pissed lol. In August 2nd, i did an e request since i havent heard from uscis. I didnt get an answer. On August 2Oth i requested an address change. On August 28th at 2:33 i received the email saying new card in production. Finally it s over...... In the meantime i didnt apply for a work permit since i already had one , so that helped me a little bit.
