Marriage based AOS, Hialeah, FL
Hello friends, I’m holding GC in my hand and it feels awesome :)
here is my timeline for marriage based AOS
04/15/2019 - PD
05/13/2019 -Bio
05/15/2019 - Ready to schedule an interview
07/12/2019- Interview scheduled
07/18/2018 - Got interview notice in mail
08/23/2018 - Interview in Hialeah, FL

It was a long wait for me, but with the help of God my AOS process has gone really fast.
I overstated my Visa for 1,5 years, married to USC for 3 years. We have 1 year old kid. For 3,5 years I was waiting for my husband to get his citizenship.
We applied to Oakland Park office, but interview was scheduled at the neighboring town Hialeah.
Interview was at 9am, but we had to wait almost 1,5 hours. The IO was really pleasant and professional. We took an oath, confirmed our names and he asked how we met. After that we were just chatting about our national food, +/- of owning house and apartment, my husband tattoos etc. I showed him our birth certificates, passports. He also asked me to put all bona fide marriage evidences in one pile for him, choose some pics from album and give to him. He didn’t even look at them, just attached to the big folder with our case. He also asked if we met each other parents( my husband hasn’t and I met only his father). And he asked why did we decide to move from NJ to FL, we went through yes/no questions from the I 485. I told him how surprised I was to find out that our interview was scheduled so fast, cause I was getting ready to wait for a year at least, he said that they are trying to balance cases between different offices now to make it all work faster.
I had the feeling that he already knew that we are fine even before the interview. I believe that having a common kid just makes 90% of success:) Officer complimented us for our good English, and told me to go and party( I told him that we are going to birthday party later) and don’t worry about anything, and that he was approving my case.
Later in the evening my status has changed to - card being produced.

08/23/2018 - Card is being produced
08/26/2018 - Cases I 485 & I 130 approved
08/30/2019 - Card in my hand
Never got EAD and AP

I’m really happy! Thank you everyone for sharing you experiences and I pray that everybody waiting for their GC have short and smooth process. Good luck!

Now let’s get ready for Hurricane Dorian
