AOS Acknowledgement receipt/EAD
Hi everyone,
I got married to my spouse on January 26, 2019, and we filed for AOS on July 17, 2019. We haven't received out confirmation receipts of I-485 and I-765 yet. I was hoping to receive my EAD card by October but doesn't look like that will happen. Our attorney said we should be receiving confirmation receipts soon, USCIS has been receiving too many applications and that has caused a huge backlog.
I have an offer with a company I had been interning for and was hoping to start working soon. Any advice on how to expedite the process or anyone in the same situation? I've been really stressed out due to this since they haven't even put our application in the system yet!
