Interview was Completed and My Case Must Reviewed
Hello everyone.
I have pending asylum case since 2015, no interview yet. While pending asylum I amrried to US citizen, we applied for Adjustment of Status(I-485) marriage based in July of 2018 in Miami, FL, had our interview few days ago on Sept 17, 2019. Interview took about 45-60 minutes, we prepared a lot of proof, evidence documents but officer was very easy on us, asked simple and basic questions, like birthday date of each other, parents name, places of work, how we met, who was at our wedding. He asked only for few documents, even we offered nore he said he doesn’t need them. Officer kept about 20 photos out of 35 that we had printed. We provided joint bank account statements, official letter from the bank with our account balance, utility bills with both our names, car insurance with both our names, posta cards from friends to both of us, hotel and air tickets booking for our trip together before wedding. In the middle of interview I was given two documents to sign, one is that I agree that my sponsor will be responsible if I apply for any benefits from government and second documents that me and my wife had to sign that I will get conditional 2 years green card because we are married less than 2 years. At the end of interview officer asked us if we have any questions and told that because I have pending asylum case he will have to send request to Asylum office to get some information about my Asylum because it’s pending since 2015 and it will take a while in my case, so I should wait. Later that day status for I-130 and I-485 Changed to “Interview was Completen and My Case Must be Reviewed”. Anyone with same experience, what to expect now, how long could take the review and is that normal? Also our 2 year marriage anniversary will be in less than 3 months, if or example case will be approved after 2 years of marriage, will I get 10 years green card or 2 years? Thank you in advance.
