Adjustment of status
I filed on marriage based . Being married a year now . I was an international student at first with a F1 visa
My pd was February 4
Bio in February 28th
Received combo card July 27th
Received ssn on the 30th
So my interview was scheduled for September 25 basically last week. Miami field office . To be honest I was a nervous wreck on that day. I’m a breakfast person yet that day I couldn’t even swallow water. My husband was pretty chill like always. Waited for an hour and half and trust me as someone with adhd waiting is torture . So when we were finally called took sermon I laughed I thought she was joking, went over our application and give her all the paperworks we had with us and I was asked if my visa had expired and if I was still in school and I responded yes. Made us sign consent papers , changed our home address for us and told us to wait a month for A response. So I spent 1hr reviewing stuff with my husband for nothing and I was worrying for nothing as well. I know everyone’s experience isn’t the same but as long as you did everything right you should be fine and do review with your spouse it’s really helpful and reassuring. So after 7 days I received my permanent residency card which means today I’m happy . My process lasted 6 months I’m greatfull .I got that out of the way for now however in 2 years I have almost the same thing to do again because our marriage period was only a year. Thank you to everyone who helped me throughout the process and I hope I can do the same for anyone else here bc we do have to help each other
