Hey guys
I just filed I-130, I-130a, I-485, and I-864 recently.
I am a student on F1 visa and recently got married to a USC. I did not fill out the I-765 form because I don't have the time to work because I am an athlete. I also didn't fill out the I-131 form because I have a valid visa which expires in December 2020.
Timeline
Sept 11- Sent all application to USCIS Chicago
Sept 14 - PD
Sept 17th - Form 130 and I-485 was received, Priority date
Sept 25th - receipt notice
Sept 29th - I-797C receipt notice was received in the mail and I was given an alien number.
In addition, my grandpa filled out the Affidavit of support because we don't work and have no tax document. we are patiently waiting for Biometric notice I guess right now.
Case is still being process at the NBC missouri and we submitted a lot of evidence along with all our forms. My wife and I do not have a regular job yet because we are student but we are also very well supported by our parents.
Few Question
1. can we call the NBC to transfer our case to our local center since the NBC is mainly known for processing the I-765 and I-131 form and we didn't fill that out.
2. My wife and I have plans to travel to Africa in April 2020 for 2 weeks. Can we travel even if I don't have my GC then. My visa is still very valid. Any thoughts..THANKS
