Experience-Adjustment of Status I-485
Hello everyone,
My green card journey has finally come to an end, at least for now. This site has helped me when I was frustrated with USCIS and everything regarding immigration. My fellow people in waiting, I want to let you know that everything will be fine and everything will work out. Don’t give up, it will all turn out good.

A little to myself, I started this journey as an F1 student in December of 2018, marriage based. Here is my timeline.

Delivered to USCIS- December
Biometrics- Late January
Case ready to be scheduled for an interview-late March
EAD Card approved- early July
EAD in hands- July 15th
Interview date scheduled- August
Interview notice - August 23
Interview date- October 1st, approved on the spot
I-130 Approved October 2nd
Green Card in Hand October 6

Field office LV.
Our lawyer couldn’t make it to our interview, but he made sure we were prepared. The interviewing officer was great and was very transparent with us and told us exactly how the interview went and he passed us on the spot and answered all of our questions.
During the interview he asked my husband how we met, how long we dated, where we were born, and if we now each other’s family. He asked me the question from the application and asked me if I wanted to submit anything else, supporting evidence wise. I had a few more receipts and other paperwork that I thought might help. The interview officer went through all the papers and picked some out. In addition we had prepared a huge Photoalbum, he did look at it.
After around 45 minutes he approved us, and ordered the green card on the same day. A few days later I received my GC in the mail.
The whole interview wasn’t as scary as I thought it would be.

I know how frustrating it is and I wish you all the best of luck and hope for the best, for all of you.
