Traveling while waiting for GC in the mail
Hi All,
My wife and I have our GC interview next week. After the interview, once the status online changes to Approved Processing New Card, I have a question about travel.
My wife’s mother has a health issue that is serious but not life threatening. She needs to go back to her home country to see her ASAP. Ideally, she’d like to travel after the GC interview, once the status online changes to Approved Processing New card. Can she leave the country while we are waiting for the official GC via mail? Then when it arrives, can I just send the GC to her via mail so she can come back into the US?
Would that work?
