H1B Stamping in Vancouver
This forum has been of great help to me and it's time to share my experience:

Visa Category: H1B + H4
Interview Date: Friday, Oct 4 10:15 AM
Location: Vancouver, Canada

1) We traveled to Vancouver on Oct 3 evening, Immigration officer asked following question at the time of US-Canada border crossing:
Purpose of visit to Canada : For Visa stamping
How long are you going to stay?
Can I see the appointment letter - Yes, show them the letter.
Stamped entry into Canada into our passports.

2) Reached US Consulate, Vancouver the next day at 9:15 AM and got into the line.
Lady at the counter asked for passport, DS-160 and I-797 and arranged them together.

3) Completed Security Check (No backpacks, large purses allowed. You can hand over mobile phones, car keys to Security personnel and
they will give you the keys to the locker.)

4) Photo: Lady at photo counter asked - how long ago was the photo taken, it should be a latest one.
After making sure that photos were okay, she wrapped the passports together and asked to proceed to the Biometrics counter.
DS160 is no more required to be presented now. You can keep it back into your folder.

5) Bio-metrics were taken, passports were given back to me and lady asked to wait to be called for Interview.

6) Security took us to 20th floor where we got into a line for Interview.

Interview:
Are you on H1B?
What do you do?
What client do you work for?
What's your highest degree?
From where?
Do you think you are being paid competitively?

7) VO handed over light green paper explaining how to check status and Employee Rights booklet.
Said "Visa is approved", you can check status using this information.

8) Visa status tracker showed updates as following:
Friday, Oct 4 - Administrative Processing
Monday, Oct 7 - Issued
Tuesday, Oct 8 - Passport ready for pickup

9) Picked up the passport from location specified on CSRA website and drove back home the same day.

10) Immigration check at US Port of Entry:
What company?
What is the company about?
What do you do?

Issued new I-94 and stamped entry into US.

All in all a very smooth and peaceful stamping experience at Vancouver!
