Interview Experience
Hi All,

I'm EB-3 Filer and went to the interview at Houston field office on 10/11/19. The interview was pretty straight forward. The officer wasn't too friendly, and he asked straight questions from the I-485 form. He also asked for several employment & joint documents which I brought with me to the interview. At the end of the interview, he asked me if there is anything I need to provide, and I gave him my medical forms, which was signed by the civil surgeon on 02/01/19. I didn't get a new medical form although many people seem to get a new form after USCIS changed the i-693 version. It seems that mine is still valid, and the officer did not question about it. However, I didn't get the approval on the spot, instead I got the white letter showing that the case must be reviewed. The officer told me that they just need to review the background check, otherwise the case should be approved.

Later at night, I got a notice from USCIS that both mine and my wife's case status changed to "New card is being produced". Also, last night my wife's case status changed to "case was approved". but mine still stays at "new card is being produced". Not sure why only my wife's status got changed.

I hope this is normal, knowing that there are so many glitches on the USCIS online system.

I hope everyone stays patience with this green card process. It took me almost 2 years from the start of the process until now. Thank God it is almost over now.

I wish everyone best of luck!
