A little big about our case:
We first filed in March. PD was March 22, 2019.
We never received an EAD card.
Interview was August 28,2019. Very smooth interview. Very nice officer. It was more like a conversation than an interview. He "approved us on the spot." -Everytime I read someone on this forums saying this I cringe."-
We were denied on September 30th, 2019. I-130 was approved but I-485 was not. We were devastated. We waited for the notice to come in the mail to see the reasoning before making any choices. When the notice came it was because we excited the country right after filing. The notice states that you have 33 days after receiving it to leave the country OR you 1) appeal 2) reapply. So, we immediately retained a very good lawyer and she gave us the steps. She was even so considerate as to let us fill out our forms ourselves because our case was perfect! And would have been approved, had we not left the country. So what did we do? My husband went that very same day to get all medical exams again and didn't stop until he filled out all the forms again. Less than a week later he sent everything off in the mail With the grace of God.
Today, October 21, we received two notices, one for I-485 and I-765. Both have been received and our being processed. And the strange part... our priority date is still March 22, 2019. So, here goes nothing:
