Adjustment of Status - I-485

I've been a silent reader through my process and this page definitely helped me be more prepared. thank you to all participants. It's only fair I partake and help others in return.

Interview 09/2019 ( approved on the spot pending new medical).. My interview was really straightforward. I would say i was over-prepared but its better to be than not. we got there 30 mins prior our appointment and just sat down and double check our documents which we did like 10 times before leaving home. Our lawyer showed joined us and went over our binder to make sure we had everything in order. We were called back 10 mins prior our scheduled time. The IO was very hard to read. Led us to her office, got our lawyer info. she then proceeded to go through the application double checking the information we had down. She then asked us to stand and do the oath, then ask if we had more evident to submit. She was only interested in bank statement, insurances, bills, car titles , lease contract, car insurance and tax return. After that, she went through the yes/no questions (it was impressive because she had all the questions memorized). After she did a little small talk with us. Asking us what our vacation trip was and my wife kid. She say she is approving us but will need to submit new medical since the one we sent was expired. Gave us a RFE requesting the medical, which i took care of the next day and send to them.

Its been a long journey for us and we are very thankful for God's grace. My advice to yall who are still in the process, is to take your time and be very organized through it. God is GREAT!!!!!
