Houston Field Office Naturalization Interview
We had our citizenship interview yesterday at the Houston Field Office. Place and personnel was very nice and friendly all the time, starting from the security officers to the IOs. We were 4 of us and we were interviewed by three different officers and the three of them were very nice, kind and polite.

My interview was literally 17 mins long. First I was put on oath then the IO asked me for my GC, driver license and passports. Also asked me for the appointment letter. Immediately she explained the process and started with the civic test questions.

I got asked:

- What month do we vote for President?
- What is an amendment?
- What is the “rule of law”?
- What are the two major political parties in the United States?
- What is one reason colonists came to America?
- Name one state that borders Mexico.

Following, the IO asked me to read a sentence on the iPad. The sentence was "Who lives in the White House?"

Then the IO asked me to write down on the iPad " The President lives in the White House"

After that the IO congratulated me for passing the English and Civic test. Then we moved to the application review. The IO asked me for my full name, address, date of birth and marital status. Then she moved to the YES or NO questions. She asked me about 10 questions. Then she asked me to sign on the iPad the Oath of Alliance and a change she made in my file. The she asked me to sign again on the iPad to confirm how my info was going to show on the Naturalization Certificate. After that she congratulated me again and got me the N-652 notice with the Congratulations - You have been recommended for approval box checked. Also she gave me a letter with instructions on how to access to the place where we are going to take the Oath and the check in line as well.

This is by far my best experience with USCIS in 10 years. I mentioned to the IO all the bad reviews you read online and she asked me to post a review about my experience as that would help other Houstonians to not fear when they go to their interviews.

Last night our status changed to Oath Ceremony Will be Scheduled and in our Online Account to Case Approved.

We are so happy to be almost over. If we get scheduled for Oath on Nov, the whole process would have take less than 9 months from filling to oath ceremony.

Thanks God for all the things He did yesterday for us as a family and thanks to this forum for all the help you guys provide.

Blessings!!!!
