Hello Everyone, I have been a silent reader on this forum and it have been so helpful. Here is my experience;

Marriage Based GC

PD: 06.26.19
Bio:07.19.19
Ready to schedule for an interview: 08.27.19
Interview scheduled: 09.11.19
Interview date: 10.22.19
Approved same day
Card ordered: 10.22.19
Case Approved: 10.23.19

No EAD or travel document was ever issued. NBC was handling the case

I was a little bit nervous going for the interview and I was positive that things will go well. From the moment we stepped in the building, we were met with employees who were so nice. We waited in the lobby whilst each interviewer were calling interviewees. About a while it was our turn, the interview went smoothly and pleasant, we submitted our birth certificates and IDs.He asked me all the questions in the i-485, literally all questions.

He asked to see three of our joint statement such the lease, bank accounts and bills and said other documents they have on file because we sent everything from the beginning.

Secondly, our photos( I made a crafty photo album from the first time we met till our recent trip October 18th), he was amazed at how much we travel and even made comments that some of the local restaurants we have been to are his favorite. He was smiling as he looked at our wedding pictures and admired that we had quite a number of people at our party.He asked a few questions of how me met, where we had the wedding, who was there, that’s it’s.

Finally, he told us that we will get the GC in the mail in a week or three, then asked us to sign a paper that states the removal of the conditions on the green card. He advised that we get in touch with an USCIS office as soon we get to our next duty station for expedited services for military families or call their direct line because they have a priority based-cases especially if they have official orders for more than 12months.

What I realized with this whole process, is that patience is key and keep a positive outlook. I learned that cases are different from reading the experiences here and this forum is helpful in all aspects especially when you find the one that can be relatable and to always remember that the persons conducting these interviews are just as human, just be calm and trust that you are meant to have that GC. Sending good vibes, positivity to all, cheers to the journey ahead.
