My H1B got approved on 17th Oct at Chennai..
16th was biometrics at OFC centre..it will take 15 mins max.
17th Oct 12PM was my PA.. reached the consulate an hour before and was waiting for my turn..done with docs verification and security checks...Do not carry any electronic gadgets..there is no locker facility at chennai consulate..Entered the consulate and collected the token and waiting for for my token # to be displayed on the big screen..Went to respective counter and gave the docs(passport,appointment confirmation,ds160,petition) they asked.they will arrange in a order and put a rubber band and return it back..then had a finger print.Then was waiting to get into next building for PA.
My Token number got displayed in counter X. Wait for your turn .
VO : Good morning
Me :Good morning Sir.
VO:wats ur highest qulaification
Me: Answered accordingly with specialisation
VO: Wat is the work you do?
Me: Answered abt the roles and responsibilities
Then he was looking at his system for sometime and returned my petition alone.
Took my passport , ds160 and said "Your visa has been approved. Pleas wait for mail to collect the passport".
It was really cool and do not panic..read ds160 completely..
