Case update
The process has finally come to end and it ended on a positive note I was approved on the spot after the interview. Here is my time line
PD: May 16th 2019
Bio: Sept 13th 2019
Case ready to be scheduled for interview: Sept 18th 2019
Interview scheduled: Sept 20th 2019
Interview notice received: Sept 27th 2019
Interview: October 30th 2019
We arrived at the field office 30 mins before our scheduled time. Our interview allotted time was 11am. We placed the letter in a tray and waited for our names to be called. Our name was called 2 hrs after and we were greeted by a very cheerful IO who apologized for keeping us waiting for so long. We took the oat and she asked me some of the yes no questions from the i485 and to verify my name address and dob. She then asked me two questions how I met spouse and when we met for the first time. Then she asked my spouse when did we get married and that was it the interview was over. She printed a document that stated the applicant was approved for a conditional green card and said she just needs to run the final background check and once everything is good i will get the card in the mail.
We had no joint documents because I wasn’t issued an ead or ssn. We brought a photo album, notarized letters from friends, family and landlord, copies of all the cards we exchanged, copies of all the cards we received from family and guests at the wedding. In total our entire process took 5.5 months.
