Renunciation & OCI in under a month through Chicago
Oct 8, 2019 - CKGS Chicago confirmed receipt of applications for Renunciation and New OCI.
Oct 10, 2019 - US passport sent with OCI application shipped back to me.
Oct 11, 2019 - Cancelled old Indian passport and renunciation certificate shipped to me.
Oct 31, 2019 - New OCI card shipped to me by CKGS.
Start to finish the whole process was completed under a month at Chicago. This was a welcome surprise given that my son's OCI card issuance in 2017 took about 3 months.
