Important SSN
Hi everyone
Let me share my experience with SSN after apply for EAD + SSN combo.
My PD may 08.2019 for all . NBC C9 cat.
I have approval latter in mail Nov.04.2019 for I 765
My EAD arrive yesterday Nov.07.2019
At evening time I went to this forum, and someone posted here, they received EAD and waiting for SSN witch never come. The USCIS forget to apply for it.( its happening pretty often)
So I went to SSA this morning just ask if they can recheck if the USCIS apply for my SSN?
Very nice lady at Winder GA office check my name in the database of applications and find out, there is no pending application under my name for new SSN.
She give me new application for SSN and she apply for it.
I ask her , what going to happened if the uscis will apply for my SSN later?
She says nothing. First thing what SSA do when they received new application is, cross check for pending applications and if is any SSN match to your name.
In the case there is pending application they will cancel the second one.
So if I would still waiting for my SSN ill be 2-3 weeks out and then Ill have to go to apply for it anyway.
Save your time and stress ,as soon as you receive you EAD go to your local SSA and check your application status. You have nothing to loose .
