Interview based on marriage
Hey guys,
So the whole process took exactly 1 year. It started last November 2018, sent the package to USCIS, biometrics 2 months later. September 2019 we got an mail saying our interview is scheduled by end of October 2019. So the process took place in Houston , Texas.
 Interview day:
We were the first to be interviewed so we didn’t have to wait at all. The officer called us @ 7am, walked in, all smiles, took oath and sat down. He asked for our driver License, passports, birth certificate and marriage license. Went over them while asking me (the beneficiary) questions about my wife like (date of birth, where did we meet and when), then the same questions he other way around. Went through all the questions from I-485 form and then asked only for the apartment lease. We also had with us the contract for the new house (we building at the moment), he looked and asked me if he can keep them. Since it was a copy, couldn’t say no. Congratulated us and said we were approved on spot. Got my card in the mail one week later (yesterday).
PS: if you have any doubts about the medical exam being expired because I had and made a new one and didn’t have to, it works this way: it’s good for 2 years since the day you got it, so for example: if you got it on November 8,2017 it’s good until November 8,2019. The info doesn’t come from me but the officer that interviewed us.
Hopefully my information gonna bring some light to the people with questions.
 Good luck everyone ✌🏼
