I-485
hi,
i've used the experiences here since we started our application and now it's my turn to share.

last july two days before me and my girlfriend go away for my birthday ICE agents showed up at my previous apartment. my ex-roommate told them he doesn't know where i live. at that time i had a year and half overstay, no crime/arrest history, not even a parking ticket.
we canceled the trip and next day we got marriage licence and the day after we got married. this was 6 months after our first date. we love each other and before ICE shows up we were looking to move-in together at end of our lease(September).

we got married in courthouse and it was beautiful. her parents and family flew in overnight from west coast to be on our side.
we prepped whatever documents we had which was mostly pictures of us receipts for ring and marriage lunch. no lease, no insurance,.... we sent our package 4 days after we got married.

interview November 4th, 2019:

we got there 30 minutes before appointment. and waited around 90 minutes before called. we had a big binder with us.
the interviewer was a very nice and poilte woman. she got my fingerprint and then we swear. she checked our passports and my EAD and birth certificate. she asked if we have joint finances and we gave her our joint bank account statements, insurance, 401k beneficiary, apartment lease, utility bills with both our names and etc.

she asked my wife about my parents names and what i do for work and my commute
then she asked the same questions about my wife from me.
she asked how we met and our fist date and how we got married. we told her everything, we explained here that we were in love and when ice showed up we got married right away so we can be together forever. then she asked the yes/no questions and I confirmed my overstay and working without permit.

the whole interview was 15-20 minutes and we were together the whole time. at the end she told us we will get an answer in the next 120 days.

on saturday november 9th, the uscus website got updated that I-130 is approved and next day sunday I-485 changed to "card mailed"

Also applications for renew EAD/AP updated to "case closed benefit received by other means"
