My timeline
Hi guys. I just went to the interview, heres my timeline and story.
Came here since junior year of high school on a F1 visa. Went to college, turned 21 and went to the bars for the first time march 2018, met this guy, fell in love, started dating.
Went to the mall together sept 2018, passing the jewelry store, he said lets pick a ring, showed up at my apartment 3 weeks after and proposed.
We went back to my home country and had our wedding there dec 2018, his mom and brother came, we went on a honey moon after. I found out i got pregnant.
April 2019 submitted i130
July 30th 2019 submitted i485, i was waiting for the baby to be born so i can put her birth certificate in the package.
Bio done August 27
Interview scheduled on nov 18 at 730am. His mom watched the baby and we went in.
It was very chill, we went through yes/no questions, no mistakes. IO asked how we met and decided to get married and stuff. Asked to see pictures. I had pictures of us going places, the baby, him getting drunk with my dad, etc. IO asked how our parents think of our relationship.
IO also joked about how he used to go to the bar where we met.
He kept papers of our insurance, bank statements, house deed with both of our names on them. We didnt have any bills because i dont make any money so my husband takes care of bills.
IO did asked if I ever received any public benefits, i said no. I have health insurance through his work. I have to stay home with the baby anyway.
As of oct 15th 2019 USCIS changed the laws that if anyone who doesnt have health insurance or have received benefits like medicaid wont be qualified for GC.
He said everything looks good, we will run the final steps and we should see new card being processed on the website within 5 days and get it in hand within 2 weeks.
Nothing from EAD, i just gave up hopes on that thing, it will never happen....
anyway good luck guys.
