Driving Permit related to EAD - I can't find answer to this anywhere!
I am kind of pissed about some recent turn of events so I need to vent out here and ask you all for HELP!

PD: 07/24/2019
FO: Sacramento, CA
I-765 and I-131 are with NBC - Both are pending - no word on them yet.

My previous EAD which was my OPT EAD expired in June 2019. I had a 'Driving Permit' (not license) based on that. Many reasons and issues later - I wasn't able to schedule a behind the wheels and the one I did - I failed my first attempt.

Forward to now when my AOS is pending status (I have all my I-797 C notices) - they renewed my Permit until the one year mark since I applied for it in November 2018. So now my permit was valid to November 21,2019 i.e. tomorrow.

Today I went to the Carmichael DMV as I had a behind the wheels appointment (I was finally ready to take the test with months and months of practicing my driving which I am now so good at - it is hard for some people). The lady said - if you take the behind the wheels today and pass - your license will only be good for 1 day cause my permit expires tomorrow.

Based on all my paperwork - she said - with my Expired OPT EAD, I-94, I-797C notices for pending applications and my passport - I will be able to re-submit the fee on November 22nd, 2019 and get a 1 year permit again - then I can take the behind the wheel test (even before getting my EAD card).

So I did not take my behind the wheels test today as she said the license will be only good for 1 day if I pass. (I was a 1000% sure I will pass)

Anybody has any advice/suggestion in this case?

Do you think with my Expired EAD, I-94, I-797C and passport - they will let me apply for the permit? (I will have to take the written and do the whole schabang again)

:( :( :(

HELPPP!
